Let us re-cap to get this modem running. ( I haven't time to pore over dozens of somewhat dis-connected e-mails. ) What make and model is the computer on which Linux is to run? What make and model is the modem? The scanModem script will tell you. ( It is not possible to get _all_ WinModems to go under Linux ) Have you got a diagnostic LiveCD ( such as Knoppix ) available?
