The mi2g article is old news, and already exposed for what it truly is...a Microsoft funded pile of half-truths that only looks at a very small few metrics in judging the 'security' of a given OS...
I spent my first 6 months with Linux unaware that I wasn't running iptables at all. Surely something should have infected my machine in that time with the several hours a day I surfed the net? Meantime your average unpatched Windows XP system lasts around 20 minutes on the net before being 'got'...
<sarcasm> Yeah, I guess I've got to accept that anything I read on the net must be true...</sarcasm>
