If you just want to play with different distros then try VMWare. I just set it up on my laptop. The laptop is an old Pentium II/366 with 128Mb RAM, running Debian 3.0. VMWare 'just worked'. It's a bit slow, but I created a virtual PC and installed Win98 onto it and it's actually usable. You would need to do the opposite- install VMWare on your Windows machine, create a virtual PC and install Linux on the virtual PC. You can do whatever you want on the virtual PC without affecting the real PC. You could even set up many virtual PCs and have different flavours of Linux on each one. Once you've found your favourite then you need to figure out how you're going to get it installed for real... Andy PS VMWare is free, but you need a licence key. A 30-day trial key is free, and I suppose you could keep getting a new one every 30 days. -- Now playing: Karl Jenkins - Saint Declan's Drone
