I have finally gotten Ubuntu installed on a PC. All went
without bother.
As my one wish is to get connected to my ISP for email purposes I'm going
to need some help.
I have put the DSL setting in my browser using 192.168.1.1 as indicated in
Router setup Guide. I cant get back to that address this morning for some
reason to check that I did it right.
What I cant work out is where I put in my ISP's address. I got it
from my ISP and it works in Windows (I'm talking to you now aren't I??)
I would guess that it will be a similar process no matter what
distro.
I am anxious to stop using Windows for email and browsing as I'm under a
constant attack from malware - even though I have all the recommended
defenses.
