No I believe a level playing field and choice is the answer. People should have the choice. As in: "Here this laptop is $1500.00 - now you can have Windows XP Home for $300.00 or SuSE Linux 9.3 in a box for $180.00. Alternatively you can have these dvd/cd's of it we legally copied but you don't get the book or any support. We will install either and all the updates for $50.00. Also you can see your local LUG and get SuSE or any other version of linux for the cost of the blank DVD/CD's, or you can download for nothing on your existing computer.
