Hi
I'm a Linux newbie.
I have just installed Suse 9.3 (and the updates).
I note that Suse is detecting my modem (Dynalink ALE070 with Globespanvirata (Conexant??)chipset when I look under:
SUSE Hardware tool>Unknown device>Globespan USB-ADSL Modem. When I open the details it says
Status Available: yes Configured:no
I "inserted" the device using the harware tool and it reports that the driver is loaded, and it should be possible to use the device.
I have set up the DSL section in YAST with the VPI/VCI at 0.100 and with my username for my ISP (Snap Internet). Still no steady light though.
your username probably needs to be something like [EMAIL PROTECTED], not just user.
One of the things I'm not sure about (among a multitude of things..) is whether the VPI/VCI is 0.100.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
Cheers Deane
