Yes, that was certainly my intention, but I could not get past a login 
screen on Suse - well, it would log me on but not go anywhere.  Turns out 
the settings had changed and the boot loader was not booting into KDE - 
something to do with the display settings which Volker talked me through 
changing through the Yast CLI.
