Text difficult to read in Suse 9.3

I have Suse 9.3 installed dual boot with windows XP on a desktop machine 
that uses a Leadtek GeForce 2 video card and a ADI MicroScan F720 17" 
monitor.  I am finding that it is difficult to use the KDE gui for any 
length of time without eye fatigue.  The text all seems just a little 
blurry - especially in Firefox.

It is running at 1024x768 @ 78hz.  I have played around with different 
fonts and sizes (both on the desktop and Firefox) but I haven't been 
able to find a setup that affects the slight blurriness.  I have 
downloaded and installed Nvidia driver updates.

This is not a problem in windows so I assume there is a setting within 
Suse that will give me a sharper onscreen image.
