Seems like a thing to avoid unless your machine is well firewalled (ie within itself rather than relying on the router as a firewall). I understand you have a pretty raw and vulnerable connection to the net with a "raw" cable modem connection. I wonder if they would suggest this course of action to a windows user? -- Nick Rout
