Need portability for my wardriving activities over the water for one thing! I must admit to being pleasantly surprised at the cost of a new one - I was looking at >$200 + customs duty to get one off ebay!
The next questions is how best to look after it? Should I use the old battery for most of the time when on mains, and just put the new one in on special occarions - it's a Li-ion one. I was (obviously) looking at rebuildng it as a n extra battery, but it doesn't really seem worthwhile, so it's either bin it or use it to extend the life of the new one... they seem to be quoted as 2 years or 400 charges.
