It's looking good, esp the desktop background ;) I haven't come across
any major problems, although I hear some of those still need to be
fixed. I'm not through with my tests yet either though. If you have a
particular piece of software you're keen on, now is your chance to test
it and submit a bug report to have it fixed in final.

One of the new things I am keen on (compared with 9.2 though, I skipped
9.3) is the use of hal for hardware detection. This gets rid of the 30
seconds of
I'm-a-dead-paperweight-please-reboot-to-make-mouse-movements-take-efffect
events each time one plugs in or out a USB anything. (Boy this has been
getting up my nose.)

For those forever whingers about rpm, preparations are made for yum, but
I don't know any details (I don't use it myself).

The typical upgrade to current software is included, eg gcc 4, KDE, open
office.

I should have the 5th beta4 CD computed in about 1.5 hours, you're
welcome to copies for a contribution to the cost of burning. I'm
prepared to mail for cost of postage.
