Has anyone had Gnome working well with SuSE?
When I tried (9.1), it seemed to be lacking some parts by default -
gtk perhaps (desktop items weren't fully drawn). I.e. a bit of
tweaking may still be required, to get Gnome going on SuSE.
The "no icons" symptom under Gnome commonly means that a non-existent or
non-compatible theme is selected. This happened to a lot of people
during the Ubuntu Warty --> Hoary upgrade (including me).
