where did you get your mplayer from? a package or did you compile it?

Also the article on Main Actor (although I found the article a little
confusing compared to actually doing it myself). Main Actor is worth
getting if you want to do video editing on linux.

Ignore the article on qdvdauthor, IMHO http://dvdstyler.sf.net is
superior.
