You are correct, it seems the kqemu module does indeed now work with a Windows 
98 guest. I can't attest to the speed increase just yet because I have some 
video encoding which is taking up most of my CPU :)

As an aside, I am running GCC4 which qemu won't compile on just yet (on x86 at 
least) but you can compile the kqemu module with GCC4 and use it with qemu 
which has been compiled with GCC3. Just so you know.
