I want to access my email from home (laptop and desktop). Currently I use thunderbird. It works fine. No changes necessary here. I want to access my email from work also, using thunderbird for windows, rather than webmail. I *can* do this at the moment, but not securely. The work IMAP client should use scure IMAP. Because my ISP doesn't offer scure IMAP, my proposed solution was to proxy the ISP's IMAP on my home server, providing secure IMAP access to any client anywhere (secure apart from the link from my home server to my ISP) > > Another option is to ask my ISP politely to enable secure IMAP. > > LOL!
