I tried. That was how I did the original install.
That gnome thing was only used as an extra diagnostic thingy.
What I'm thinking is that my machine might not be entered into the
domain and the printer server might only allow print jobs from member
machines.
Joining a machine onto the domain used to be done via smbconnect but
that doesn't appear to exist now. Does anybody know what is used now?
