GRIP is good for making a "backup" of them - especially with paranoia (based on CD Paranoia) turned on - it is also good for recovering scratched audio CD's that dont play any more.
It may read as slow as 0.1x but with the ones I have done it has reproduced them better than they play in the CD player!
