I have an ISA mwave modem that you can have. It is a softmodem with drivers in the kernel source and also has sound card capabilities.
Volker let me know if you are interested and I will bring it to the next meeting. I have found old ISA [1]modems work well as fax capable modems. In particular efax detects and configures them with little hassle. I have an Intel536 hardware accelerated pci modem sourced from Dick Smith (stock code XH1154) which works under Linux satisfactorily. Cheers Ross Drummmond [1] Sometimes getting the bios and operating system to recognise the ISA card can be a bit of a hassle and modem computers are unlikely to have ISA slots. I recommend the isapnptools package for wrangling with misbehaving ISA cards.
