Thanks. The user found this page for himself, and on that basis decided
to overwrite the brand new Debian+KDE install his mate had just done
(v.slick) with a 6-month old Ubuntu. Having delivered the install disk,
and advised not to hurry about using it, there endeth the free support -
for now / in that case.
