Doesn't seem to want to work - is connected via USB so maybe the combination of that and not being directly attached is problematic. Anyway, the 710C is functioning fine, so I'll leave it at that. At least I can now print an email, essentially that is all I really needed to be able to do from time to time. Rebooting in windows or emailing to another account just to print one email was pretty silly...
