I installed open suse 10.1 on one of my computers the other day without a
hitch, I did this by downloading one iso image, burning to cd and then
booting from that cd and away it all went once I selected install and gave
it the right ip number etc. Only problem was that somehow windows xp got
trashed in the process. Ok thinks me, no dual booting, who cares lets dump
the horrible M$ xp and become a born again linux fan for real on at least
that machine. (Good thing I still have this one or I would not be writing
this :-) Because when I use that exact same cd install disk to reinstall
linux it boots to cd, opens the pretty blue screen and gives me options to
install with various options. Sadly when I do that all I get is a black
screen, constantly red hard drive light and no action or pretty blue screens
:-(.

I have tried re fdisking the drive and formatting it etc. with a windows
floppy, all to no avail, just the same result. Any ideas how to fix this and
get suse installed again appreciated.
