Sounds like the PCMCIA controller is not in the kubuntu kernel config. Please compare a dmesg from mepis with a dmesg under kubuntu.
If its not listed in lspci it is a 16 bit PCMCIA card for sure. -----Original Message----- From: Andrew Errington [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, 26 July 2006 3:16 p.m. To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Gaah! Ubuntu! No, it doesn't show up in lspci. I don't know whether that means it is or is not a 16 bit card. I have tried 3 different PCMCIA cards. They all work with Mepis 3.3.1, and none work with the Ubuntu Breezy image on the hard drive, or the Kubuntu Dapper Live CD. =:^( On Wed, 26 Jul 2006 15:05, you wrote: > Could it be a 16 bit xircom card? > > Does it show up in lspci ? > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Andrew Errington [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Wednesday, 26 July 2006 3:02 p.m. > To: [email protected] > Subject: Gaah!
