I can get 305m of cat5e for 115+gst if that's any use. I'm not too certain you 
need cat6 - are you going 10gig?

Networking shouldn't be any problem, wired or wireless, although many of the 
older distros required manual builds to get hardware supported. I use atheros 
based hardware wherever possible to get wireless connectivity, as the madwifi 
project is very well supported.
