I did that with Alan when I visited him the other afternoon.

# The init string for LTmodem

ATS7=60S30=0L0M1\N3%C1 +DCS=1,1&K3B0B15B2X4

I copied this string from the Windows log and typed it into the kppp Init-2 
dialog window. Made no difference.

Alan. It is possible that we managed to get this wrong.
Please could you double check it.
