As you say, postscript is an option, and options cost extra. I don't
need to think for very long to conclude that most outfits, being Redmond
shops, couldn't care less about it ("what exactly is the problem
again?"). Sure, anyone who wants a printer which goes with Linux will
have no problems, but take a Linux box into any given location and it
seems to me that chances of being able to use the printer are going
downhill.

Peter, if your printer is PS-capable (even if only through some
Billypiece), find out somehow what PS commands control the extra
features (print to file from a doze box?) and edit your PPD file.
