Apart from that... as the article states, installing cleanly is a breeze (ugh).
I was using the rc's with no problem at all ( which included ff2 rc's as well
btw ) until I blew it away for FC6, which is a real pain to build on, as you
may have guessed from some of my other posts. There *is* a button to install
loads of effects... gl stuff as seen in many demos - but they aren't supported
by the ati mobility 9700 graphics card in that lappie ):

Actually I got beryl, emerald, compiz and everything working with an ATI
9600 Mobility ... under Ubuntu. I needed to fiddle around a bit with the
configuration for gdm. After that everything else can be done with
beryl-manager. There are still a few bugs such as xine and VMware in
fullscreen mode not working or visualisations in amarok crashing X.
Other than that it works fine.
