I looked at both of those and couldn't work them out and identify if
they'll do what I need. From what I could see they won't.
I really need to understand php, iptables and mysql. So building seems
the best option... if you guys can stand the questions.

Well, I'd download it, install it and futz with it. I'm not trying to be
funny here, but surely the time you've spent designing a system from
scratch would be better spent trying to get something which is known to
