Grrr... I already did reply to this, this moorning but somethings stuffed in my mailer.

ok....

Reg,

# pa -A | grep "evol"

you'll see there's a number of processes.

I found this problem with KDE.

# kill x

where x is the process number for the other processes.

Check what version you're running.

I found that the distros don't have the most up to date version.

Hi All,

When I recently reinstalled Open Suse I decided to give Gnome a try as
opposed to KDE. In doing so I ended up with Evolution as my mailer which I
quite like so at this stage I see no need to change from that. Only problem
is that more often than not when I close it, it won't restart unless I
reboot the computer. It is also the only program doing this, other programs
fire up fine. Is this a common problem? How might I fix this?
And please no silly comments like go back to KDE as I want to genuinely
trial Gnome. I am however open to getting rid of Evolution if it is known as
an unstable program. I would have thought however, that the default program
is popular and stable.

Regards
Reg
