The bikes at Team Poynter are over $1500!!

The parts for mine cost about $300, plus my time to make the parts to fit,
and the kit on TradeMe I have found costs about the same (but should fit
with little trouble). I have ordered one and a full report will be
presented in due course.

I know it's way OT, but AFAIK this list is the only geek-list in
Christchurch. Not only are we Linux hackers, but also, as John Carter
points out, many of us are Makers. As long as list users don't mind the
occasional foray into OT (but not frivolous) territory I think it's great
to discuss other technology related things here (if you don't agree, speak
up!). I am surprised and pleased at the amount of interest this topic has
generated, but I am willing to 'take it elsewhere' if asked, and please, if
you know of a more general geek list in Chch then let me know!
