Does anyone know of a way to recover the contents of a disk when the bit of the disk holding the partition table has been fried??
I've dd'd the disk to an iso, and am currently recovering it to another disk in the hope that I can recreate the partition table and see the contents again, but this is a really slow process. Any alternative suggestions will be gratefully received. As usual, the owner of this computer has no backups...! Cheers, Steve
