Yes. There's also no particular reason to not use flexible cable for
fixed wiring (it's illegal only for mains voltage fixed wiring). Pulling
flexible cable through bends + tubes is much easier.

The crimp plugs for flexible cable also work fine on solid cable, or at
least the about 15 I've tried do.
