All TC's customers have IPs which whois says belong to TC - sorta obviously.
The hostname doesn't look like TC infrastructure to me, but that's anyone's
guess. Ring techsupport, they should be happy to tell you. While you're
talking to them, ask if they charge for ping traffic - if not, add a shut-up
rule to your logging.

Bah... the foolishness is evident in displaying basic ignorance such as
failing to install the package called whois (quote Homer here) and finding
it easier to blame $VENDOR instead of pushing a few buttons ;)
