Recruiters use (or should use) many different methods to ensure they get the person they want/need. It is very expensive (in performance, time and money) to get rid of someone if they are employed and turn out to be not suitable so sometimes they may ask questions which seem strange but they need to make informed judgement. Research has proven that they very best indicator is the personal, verball reference (ask the referee the right questions). Rob
