I'm looking for a cordless telephone handset, that will connect to the normal phone line (POTS) as well as to "something" for SIP and/or Skype.
If the "something" is "a PC over USB", then it needs to be a Linux OS. It might be "The Internet over 802.11" in which case the PC is irrelevant. Any experience with such a device is welcome. My preference at the moment is to use it with Skype because it looks like their $$$ deals are better than any I can find from SIP providers; however data on a SIP provider who can get close to the current SkypeOut Pro pricing would be welcome. -jim, crossposting to NZLUG, WellyLUG and CLUG.
