Hey Jim, If you want to step up a little bit, Asterisk+tdm-400p will allow you to use your existing handsets/phone line, and add VoIP back to the motherland/elsewhere. This is what I've done, and phoning to the UK @ 1p/min and a local Birmingham number @ GBP3/month flat ( and free for them to phone! ) has saved me a fortune, and made my parents somewhat happier.
Paid for itself in a very short time, but always up for better suggestions...
