Fibre is infinitely superior.

I have been with Telstra Cable since they arrived and have had only one semi-serious unplanned outage. About an hour one morning. It was fixed pretty quickly, after I told them about it. Otherwise it's been
'dial-tone' reliability.

You do realise that Telstra Cable is coax (copper), not fibre, right?

Hybrid. Coax to big green box (not the smaller green boxes outside
your houses) then fibre from there.

yeah thats hardly fibre to the door is it?

It's fibre to the neighbourhood, which is lucky for our friend in
Linwood, but sux for those of us in West Melton or Lyttelton.

I had fiber back in Norway, nothing special about that, except is was FAST but it gave everybody inside the city 100Mb that was really nice if you had two offices or wanted to transfer or backup some data to a friend computer :-D
