I am trying to get a Gnu/Linux box on-line for developing Linux based
computer games.

I have installed RedHat Version 9 on my machine but when you boot up
it gives the following error message:

<0>Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler
In interrupt handler - not syncing

I also noticed that the Caps Lock and Scroll Lock lights are blinking
on and off.

Further back I noticed the following error message:

DriveSeekCompleteError

Here are some questions and observations:

(1) How do I get a text file containing all of the diagnostic messages
that you see on boot up?

(2) I suspect that the cause of the failures could be the hard drive
which is 40 GB. Perhaps Red Hat Linux version 9 being old does not
expect such a large hard drive.

(3) A final note to this message is that fact that it does
successfully boot up about one time in ten. But this is hardly
satisfactory for serious use!

Could I bring my computer along to a meeting of your user group for
someone brainy enough to diagnose my problem?
