Howdy,

I need to implement a "fault based" trouble ticket and asset tracking system 
of some kind. Possibly but not excluding a data based back-end and client or 
web based UI. Needs to cope with local and some remote users.

Google has not been much of a friend and Freshmeat only gave me a selection 
that were mostly help-desked based.

Any solution I implement needs to track the asset reported as "broken \ faulty 
\ or malfunctioning", these devices may be non IT devices but part of the 
bigger picture.

Keeping on topic, my preference is to use an open source solution. This is 
driven by produce proof-of-concept assists work-flow vs cost of license fees 
arguement.

Any reports or war stories of what people have used or are using most welcome. 
Pointers on what does not work helpful as well.
