There's an amd64 version of the fixed package available. There is no 64-bit version of Skype for Linux yet. This is one of the prices you pay for using closed source software. You can install a 32-bit version by installing the approriate 32-bit compatibility libraries. There's a howto[1] in the Ubuntu forums (easily found via Google).
