bafo 810 (bf-810) works like a charm, but you need (from memory) kernel
2.6.16 or later for it to work properly. It's always been supported in
the module pl2303 but I think there must have been a hardware revision
about 2 years ago that stopped it from working properly with earlier
kernels:
