So you're not connecting. Are you sure you're using xdm, and not using a gnome 
or kde desktop as fedora normally uses gnome??

If so, on calso, edit /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf ( or possibly /etc/gdm/custom.conf 
but I don't think so ), and in the [xdmcp] block change 'Enable=false' to 
'Enable=true'

Could you also check that the following line in /etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess is not 
commented out...

* CHOOSER BROADCAST
