Hi Nick, The Jaycar one is probably ok. Switch-mode PSUs are inherently regulated by design, but due to the way they work they may introduce noise into the system. If you find your audio is buzzing or whining then suspect the PSU. The lines on the label (solid and broken) are the symbol for dc (direct current). Having a 1000mA PSU for a device that consumes 1000mA is ok. Another thing you could look for is a mains PSU with USB output socket. You would need to find one with 1000mA capability (the standard is 500mA per USB port),and you would need a USB-to-2.5mm plug cable. HTH, Andrew
