I.  The logo of a solid line atop a broken line means "DC".  A sine wave
logo would mean "AC".

II.  On the same page of the paper Jaycar catalogue is the MP-3480 5 V,
3.0 A switchmode power supply for AUD 4.00 more than the MP-3144.  For
five (NZ) bucks difference, why take the risk?

III.  Both the MP-3480 and the MP-3144 are regulated.
