I didn't realize that this was a game of semantics. If your Kodak DC5000 can be used as a webcam then it can do 'movies'. Just because you don't know how to set that up, doesn't mean that its not possible.

Some still picture cameras that take quick time movies will have a webcam option. (fuji 3800)
Yes, i'm aware of that, however not all do, and unless the camera can also do movies, you can't use webcam software for it.
