One thing that's puzzling me in the SxS for IDE cd burners is the insistence 
that you place 'ide-scsi' in the append statement of lilo.conf (or 
equivalent) so that it 'comes up' when booting.

Is this genuinely necessary? I don't burn enough cd's to wattent checking it 
out, so have left well alone. It seems that a modprobe ide-scsi in a boot 
script would suffice?
