Yes, I am aware of that.

There seems to be no provision for

The main purpose is to be able to use Skype and GoogleTalk easily, secondary
purpose is to listen to speech podcasts.  No stereo needed.

Once it's lost its brand new sheen I might have a look at opening it and
adding another ear-piece in parallel with the existing one.
