Fetchmail reads the .fetchmailrc config file, see the bottom of the man
 file for configuration examples.

 command 'fetchmail pop.gmail.com'

typical fetchmailrc (for plain text log on access)

 skip pop.gmail.com proto POP3
user "username" with password "secret" nokeep
 mda "/usr/bin/procmail -d %s"

Add the ssl option if pop.gmail.com requires it.

Note that fetchmail is not used now because of the constant
problems it had with bugs and the risk of buffer overflow attacks.

After 1998 it was superceded by 'getmail' which is a much more
stripped down and modular programme with a easier config file.
