I think you've nailed it. It almost always happens when I've left a tab open with a flash video player or some other sort of flash. Grrrrrrrrrrr.
Is there a way to fiew the individual memory usage of just the flash plugin to try and spot memory usage spiralling out of control before the desktop starts locking up?
