On the box which had been updated multiple times to the next ubuntu
release, virtualbox
could not be made to work. This was a pain - by going to a fresh
install, I have virtualbox working...
For those not in the know, virtualbox is a bit of software that emulates
(quite nicely) a computer. One
can install windows, linux (whatever) onto the virtual box and it runs
just fine. So for me, I have a win XP
program that does VOIP - testing it is a pain, cause a proper test
requires a minimal win XP box with no libraries
or development libraries etc. Quite nice to run my win xp program on a
virtual box computer, and hear audio
from the win xp program running on a linux computer..
But I did wonder, can one browse with impunity using any browser
(provided it is running inside a virtualbox environment)?
