It also relies on you either knowing when you've been infected, or
routinely reverting to your base OS image every time you reset the VM.
So you still have to be reasonably rigorous to keep safe about it. I
believe that VMWare has an option to let you say that every time you
run a VM it will reset it back to a given snapshot, but I haven't seen
this option in VirtualBox.
